Dawn to Dusk Day 2023: Explore the Watercress Way with all your senses in our new scavenger hunt

For the 2023 Dawn to Dusk day, we are delighted to introduce a new scavenger hunt, suitable for all the family, allowing you to get to know the Watercress Way with all of your senses.

Our scavenger hunt is designed to be a fun and educational activity that involves exploring the route, searching for specific items found along the Watercress Way. It's a great way to get kids and adults alike excited about spending time outside and learning about the natural world around them.

Here's how it works: download and print the checklist of items in the image below and head over to any point along the route. Items on the list include things like birdsong, spotting a local fish, or smelling a flower. Once you find each item, check it off the list and move on to the next. You can make the activity more challenging by setting a time limit or adding your own items to find.

The benefits of a nature-based scavenger hunt are endless. Not only does it provide a fun and interactive way to spend time together as a family, but it also encourages kids to get outside and learn about the world around them. It promotes physical activity and helps to develop observation and critical thinking skills.

So why not try our scavenger on this year’s Dawn to Dusk day? With 27 miles of track to explore, there's no shortage of opportunities to experience nature first hand. And the best part is, it's free!

So pack a picnic, grab the checklist and get ready for a day of fun, exploration, and learning in the great outdoors.
