The 5th Annual General meeting held on 29 June 2021

The trustees of The Watercress Way were delighted to hold our AGM outdoors in the Garden at Alresford Station after having to hold last year’s online.Such a pleasant evening and thanks to the Watercress Line for permission. Our outdoor annual meeting was the first time some of our new trustees have met face to face with the founder members. All with the stunning backdrop of the station. We were also especially pleased to welcome the input of Bob Barnham(Amy’s duck table), Adam Maskill (local arboriculturist), Chris Cornell(railway historian) and Steve Morley (Watercress Line).During our talk preceding the official meeting in addition to the history of the development of The Watercress Line and The Watercress Way we learnt how the church yard was once a horse field, how a track went through the Old Goods Shed (now the railway shop!) as well as the links to the watercress which was loaded in the adjacent siding. We listed our activity during a lockdown year  - a lot of planning has been done as well as recruiting 4 new trustees. You can read the full detail in the Annual Report and in our plans for 2021.Our new Treasurer, Julie Fullstone, outlined our solid financial situation after a very quiet year in lockdown. We ended up at The Swan after over an hour of friendly discussion to catch up and celebrate meeting at last in person (and England’s victory over Germany!)Please find the meeting documents below:
