Watercress Way: Birds of Our Chalk Streams

Join Keith Betton as he highlights some of the brilliant bird species found around our local chalk streams.

About this event - The chalk streams along the Watercress Way are incredibly valuable for wildlife. In addition to an important range of aquatic plants and invertebrates, these waterways support many beautiful and fascinating bird species.

In this talk, Keith Betton will highlight some of the birds that feed and nest along our local chalk streams. Come along to hear how birds use the rich environments of these watercourses to survive and thrive.

Keith is Hampshire's County Recorder for birds, as well as Chairman of the Hampshire Ornithological Society and Vice President of the British Trust for Ornithology. He is a keen world birder, having seen over 8500 species in nearly 110 countries.

This event is part of the Arle Together Project led by The Watercress Way supported by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, Watercress and Winterbournes Project.  Any donations are greatly appreciated and will support the work of The Watercress Way Charity.
