CPRE Awards 2019 – Please vote for us!

Lowering Bench 1 into position

We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the Campaign to Protect Rural England Countryside Awards 2019 in the Community and Voluntary Category.

Voting is by the public and starts on 12 August, closing date 8 September.

Please log on and vote for us, http://www.cprehampshire.org.uk/awards  Tell your friends.

The money would be very useful to us so that we can:

  • Improve the waymarking by installing posts
  • Improving access to all (elderly families and disabled ) along Didcot line ( ie Worthy Down Halt from road and the steep ramp up to Oxdrove)
  • Improve the habitat by planting wild flowers

The category is aimed at community and voluntary organisations and enterprises, including charitable projects and schemes run by parish councils, local interest or amenity groups. In the past judges have awarded organisations with a high level of community involvement, projects and schemes which encourage people to connect with the countryside, the prioritisation of environmental, conservation or restoration within the rural or urban environment and the elements of sustainability and education.
