We have won the CPRE Community and Voluntary award 2019

A prestigious award for the work done so far by TWW!The Countryside Awards Ceremony took place on 17th September 2019. Nigel Atkinson Esq, HM Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire presented the Awards and Certificates to the Winners and Finalists.http://www.cprehampshire.org.uk/awardsWe are delighted to receive the Campaign to Protect Rural England’s Community and Voluntary award against stiff opposition from other Hampshire charities and groups.Trustees Kim Adams, Clive Cook and Jim Thompson discarded wellies and brush cutters for suits and heels to meet the main sponsor Southern Co-op and the new CEO of Hampshire’s CPRECpre Finalist And Award Plaques 2019The award is a beautiful plaque set on a beechwood ring and will be shown at future events like the Watercress Festival.Our chairman, Jackie Porter said,“A big thank you to all our supporters who voted for us. It is wonderful that the efforts of our dedicated group of trustees and volunteers over the last 3 years has been recognised. We are delighted that so many people use The Watercress Way for a wide variety of activities from dog walking or a short stroll through our railway heritage to long distance walks or even marathon running. Some sections are also accessible for cyclists and horse riders - see the map on the website.”
